JoAnn Tracy, 76, of Robinson, Illinois, passed away at 2:07 p.m. EST., Monday August 5, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Born in Robinson, IL on June 28, 1937; she was the daughter of James Carney and Joan (Hanover) Carney. She was employed with Heath Candy for many years in the packaging department; Victor Dana, Ettel Brick Shoe Factory, Robinson; retired from Leaf Candy in 1992; JoAnn also had a shop in the Tommy Town Mall in Oblong for many years. Her hobbies included: “junk” auctions, Bingo, collecting dolls, playing solitaire, and most of all spending time with her kids and grandkids.
On June 25, 1955, JoAnn married Bob E. Tracy, Sr. who survives. Also surviving is one son, Bobby Tracy, Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Doug Slater, and Lisa and Charles Inboden; seven grandchildren, Melissa Tracy; Chrissy and Tim Mickey; Levi and Nicky Slater; Christopher Slater; Jalyne Goss; Daylan and Aleah Inboden: eight great-grandchildren, Devin and Carman Worcester; CasCinda Sheridan; Cierra and Madi Staley and Porter Mickey; Julia Hernderson and Reagan Slater; a sister, Pat Bradley; several nieces and nephews; 3 sisters-in-law, Virginia Earlywine, Reba Stephens and Leah (Earl) Baker; and extended family, Bill and Billie Cox; Patty Rasmussen; and Kenny Chapman.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Russell Wayne Tracy; two brothers, Jimmy Carney and Paul Carney; and two sisters Karen Carney and Donna Bogaczyk.
Bro. Rick Catt will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, north of Oblong, Illinois.
